Wednesday, 21 March 1838- Brisk breeze from SW- Fine, Clear & Frosty- The drift ice firmly jammed in the bight - which entirely precludes the Seven Craft from starting- The Thos & Sarah is from the Carps hands repaired & in all probability will be ready to move off with the 7 - when the ice slacks from the bight. Afternoon moderate from S.S.W. in the evening SW fine and mild – Ths. ready to proceed latterly wind West.
