Thursday 16th Feb 1843 Morning cloudy with hail, rained in the night, blowing a strong breeze from south.  Thermometer 27 above zero.  Afternoon wind south overcast cloudy & cool.  Messrs J.B.G. & Co. Schr. Maria after undergoing repairs was launched this morning.  Evening wind South overcast & cool.
