Friday 27th March 1846 Gloomy, damp, raw cold and calm Thermometer at 32 or freezing point keel laid, & stem & stern of new boat raised yesterday at 11am wind breezed up from east cloudy & warm. Afternoon wind south & warm Evening cloudy gloomy, & damp wind east.
