Friday 24th Dec 1847 – Fine, fair, & frosty wind
W.N.W. – Mr. Wm Stoneman’s new brig Catherine, at about 20 minutes to
9am was launched in excellent style by Mr. Charles Newhook junior at
meridian wind S.W. & overcast afternoon & evening wind as last stated
indicating snow.
